Wreck of the Maria Doria

This is the wreck of the Maria Doria, a sunken ship of Tomb Raider II.

"My" Lara Croft is from Tomb Raider Underworld, but the "landscape" is the original one.

You can also see the "Welcome to Rapture" sign that is showed in BioShock 2.

Alice

A new box with Alice (from the game Alice Madness Returns) with a Newspaper Zombie from Plants vs. Zombies. This box is located in Raccoon City to do a little cameo to the Alice from the Resident Evil movies (that I don't really like...).

Rapture properties

The three properties that can be bought in Rapture (BioShock).

From left to right :
-Ryan Industries, with of course Andrew Ryan from BioShock.
-Dionysus Park, with Sofia Lamb from BioShock 2.
-Minerva's Den, with Charles Milton Porter and The Thinker (from Rodin) from BioShock 2 DLC : Minerva's Den.

Masterpiece Square

A special way of my board that shows a part of the old video games that can be considered as masterpieces.

I don't think I need to tell you the name of those games...

First money bills

Then, four different $ 1'000 money bills, introducing Dr. Wallace Breen (Half-Life 2), Cave Johnson (Portal 2), Augustus Singlair (BioShock 2) and Atlas (BioShock).

First cards

The first cards (to pick up during the game) that I created.

There are three types of cards : Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony. But all of them are menu cards. I chose the triangle button of the PlayStation to symbolize those cards.

Chell Johnson, P-Body, Atlas and the Companion Cube

Here is the box that sends a player to the Enrichment Center which is the equivalent of the prison in the standard Monopoly.

You can see Chell, P-Body, Atlas and - the best - the Companion Cube !

Natla Technologies

The final box for Natla Technologies located in SimCity (in my game).

I added Pierre and Larson, the two other main characters in Tomb Raider Anniversary (and of course in the first Tomb Raider).

vendredi 19 août 2011

Jill Valentine

Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3. I'll add the Nemesis just behind her.

Spencer's Mansion

In Spencer's Mansion you can see Rebecca Chambers, Chris Redfield and Lisa from Resident Evil (Rebirth).

Chris seems to be very injured, crying after Rebecca for an healthy green herb.

World of Goo

I mixed three "maps" of the game World of Goo to create this factory.

You can also see the Princess Peach, but her box is not completed.

Wesker vs. Trish

A Marvel vs. Capcom 3 scene introducing a fight between Albert Wesker (Resident Evil) and Trish (Devil May Cry). Actually, the fight is over, and Wesker won.

Midgar

Here it is : I just finished to draw Midgar from Final Fantasy VII !

I chose to split the path in this part of the board, because of Midgar architecture : slums in the bottom and the rich part of the town above.

From left to right you can see :
Above
-Shinra Tower : with Rufus Shinra, and his father killed by Sephiroth just behind him.
-Caith Sith and Reeve
-Loveless Theatre : a fictive place that I created to pay homage to the famous Loveless bill and street (also seen in Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII). You can see Scarlet and Heiddeger behind.
-Zidane Tribal from Final Fantasy IX : the main character of Final Fantasy IX, my favorite one.
Bottom
-A Save Point from Final Fantasy VII
-Slums Church : with Aerith Gainsbourgh.
-The 7th Heaven : Tifa's bar.
-Globox back from Rayman in a blue portal from Portal (the orange portal is at the opposite of the board to connect the two parts).

Regis Licker

A Regis Licker from Resident Evil Outbreak (PS2). She/It is hung to a box.

Jacqueline Natla

This is Jacqueline Natla, a great villain of Tomb Raider Anniversary (the remake of the first Tomb Raider). I chose to draw this version of Natla because I found her more charismatic in Anniversary than the original game.

Title

I just finished to draw the title of the board.

Would you recognize all the game references ?

Pyramid Head

My drawing of Pyramid Head from Silent Hill, one of the most famous and charismatic creature/ennemy of all time !

Another Example

Another example of the board : the lighthouse located above Rapture (the famous city of BioShock).

As you can see, the board is clearly not finished ; only Midgar, Pallet Town and City 17 will be soon completed.

First Sample

Here is a sample of my board.

Precisely, this is the two first boxes of the game, introducing Pallet Town. You can see Blue (or Gary) playing Pokémon trading cards and Professor Oak with the Pokédex in his hand.

You probably noticed that my game is in French ; "Bourg Palette : la ville des grands départs" means "Pallet Town : the town of big departures". And "Laboratoire Pokémon" means "Pokémon Laboratory".

Introduction

Usually, in a standard Monopoly board, you have to buy towns or cities assorted by colors and sorted by prices (from the cheapest to the most expensive). In my game the groups of colors will be replaced by different famous cities of video games, and each city will have two or three famous places.

Here is the list of the cities in my game, from the cheapest to the most expensive :

-Pallet Town (from Pokémon versions : Red-Blue-Green-Yellow - Game Boy)
-Delfino Plaza (from Super Mario Sunshine - Game Cube)
-Clock Town (from The Legend of Zelda : Majora's Mask - N64)
-City 17 (from Half-Life 2 - PC/Mac)
-Silent Hill (PlayStation)
-Sim City (PC/Mac)
-Raccoon City (from Resident Evil/Biohazard - PlayStation)
-Rapture (from BioShock - PC)
-Midgar (from Final Fantasy VII - PlayStation)
